- After thorough cleaning, apply an antiseptic such as povidone-iodine to disinfect the wound
3.Seek Medical Attention
- Even if the wound seems minor, consult a healthcare professional promptly. They may recommend a tetanus booster, rabies vaccination, or other treatments based on the bite’s severity and the animal’s health status.
4.Monitor the Animal
- f possible, observe the animal that bit you for signs of illness, particularly rabies. Inform local health authorities about the incident for further guidance.
